Tecoil uses First Whistle channel to report suspicions of misconduct

To promote an open, transparent, and safe working culture, we have implemented a First Whistle -channel for reporting suspicions of misconduct.

The First Whistle -channel provides a confidential avenue to report suspicions of possible misconduct or violations of operating principles for internal investigation. Reports can be made anonymously. Initially, concerns or suspicions should be raised with the relevant individual, supervisor, or management. If discussing the matter does not feel like a viable option or is ineffective, this channel can always be used for reporting. The First Whistle -channel is designed to ensure the reporter’s anonymity if they choose to make an anonymous report.

First Whistle is a confidential channel for reporting suspicions

Reports made through the First Whistle channel are treated confidentially, safeguarding the privacy of the reporter and the subject. The processing of personal data adheres to the obligations outlined in the data protection law (1050/2018).

Reports can be made based on suspicion alone, without concrete evidence, as long as they are made honestly and in good faith. The First Whistle -channel is managed by the controller, plant manager, chief accountant, and EHQ manager, who initiate necessary investigations. The handling is confidential, even if the reporter discloses their identity. If the report concerns one of the mentioned handlers, that person does not participate in the case handling and investigation.

How to make a report and track its processing

Upon receiving a report, we acknowledge its receipt within 7 days. If necessary, we may request additional information from you during the investigation. All communication occurs through the First Whistle -channel, confidentially and anonymously. We inform you of the investigation’s outcome through the channel within 3 months of submitting the report.

At the end of the reporting process, you receive a personal code to track the progress of your report.

If you have made a report and lose the case-specific code, please make a new report referencing the original one. This way, the investigation can continue in collaboration with you.

If our internal channel does not function, you can report misconduct covered by the whistleblower protection law to the centralized external reporting channel of the Chancellor of Justice. Please note that irregularities in the organization’s activities should be reported primarily through our internal reporting channel to receive whistleblower protection.

The implementation of the whistleblowing reporting channel is based on the whistleblower protection law and the European Union whistleblower protection directive.
